Tom K. Bucher

Tom is president of Bucher Financial Group providing Credit Management Services to companies located in the Mid-Atlantic States.
Services provided include:

  • Development and maintenance of Credit Management Policies
  • Credit Application Processing with recommended credit limits
  • Develop and implement collection of Accounts Receivable Policies
  • Provide comprehensive reporting of all activities on behalf of the client
  • Meet client goals/targets to improve cash flow, reduce bad debts and properly assess risk
  • Reduce client overhead through better use of staff and higher technologies
  • On-site client project support where an intensive effort may be required

  • Tom's background includes over 35 years of corporate credit management for Fortune 500 size companies involved in mass retailing, manufacturing, commercial banking, construction contracting and commercial construction material sales. Tom has put together a team of experts in the areas of corporate credit management, customer service, financial administration, loss prevention, internal audit and information technology support. The Team maintains over 125 total combined years of experience. Bucher Financial Group maintains 9 personal computer supported workstations and 5 off-site workstations supported by an independent server. 
  • Bucher Financial Group uses the latest Microsoft and Sage products supported by a secure data environment. 

Bucher Financial Group has provided services to a variety of industries including computer software, advertising, publishing, large appliance manufacturing, outdoor power equipment manufacturing, clothing manufacturing, construction materials, electronics, concrete ready mix, stone quarry, asphalt production, contracting and trucking companies.

 


 

Leslie A. Dobbins

Leslie came to Bucher Financial Group after spending over 30 years at a large steel production company.

Experience:
  • Leslie served as Human Resource Administrator providing guidance and support to nine manufacturing plants. Prior experience included serving as an Executive Secretary, Traffic Supervisor, Personnel/Benefits Administrator and Employee Relations Supervisor. Leslie's strengths include strong interpersonal skills, problem solving, attention to detail and persistent follow up with her assigned portfolios. 
  • At Bucher Financial, Leslie processes credit applications submitted by the clients Bucher Financial Group serves.  She also manages a variety of assigned clients accounts receivable portfolios communicating directly with the clients and their customers. 

 


 

Sam A. Grillo, Jr., CCE

Sam came to Bucher Financial Group after being a credit manager in the construction supply industry for 30 years.

Experience:
  • From 2001 to 2005 Sam was employed as Corporate Credit Manager for Americast located in Richmond VA, a major supplier of pre-cast concrete and concrete pipe in the Mid East. From 1989 to 2001 Credit Manager for Tarmac America, Norfolk VA From 1974 to 1989 Credit Manager Florida Rock Industries in Norfolk VA Duties have included developing and implementing credit policies at each location. Sam's duties have also included management of the accounts receivable and collections departments. Sam is a graduate of Virginia Wesleyan College. In 1996 he earned the designation of Certified Credit Executive (CCE).
  • Sam is a member of the National Association of Credit Management. He has served four terms as President of his local chapter and has twice been chosen by his peers as credit professional of the year.
  • At Bucher Financial, Sam is a senior advisor for credit risk and collections management activities. 

 


  

Charles Hoffman, MBA/CCE

Charlie came to Bucher Financial Group in 2002.

Experience:
  • Chief Financial Officer of a regional food distributor. Director of Credit for a major national bicycle distributor. Accounting Manager and Credit Manager for a large national pottery company. Credit Manager for a large international lawn care company. Credit Manager and Cost Accounting Manager for a major international mining and construction company. Financial Analyst and Manager of various departments including Order Entry, Billing, Planning, Budgeting and Credit for a large international electronics manufacturer. Taught credit management courses, accounting courses and management courses at three Pennsylvania State University campuses. One of five nationally recognized Credit Managers of the Year in the inaugural year. Attained a Master of Business Administration from the Pennsylvania State University. Past chairman of trade group, National Association of Credit Management publications division, member of National Association of Credit Accreditation committee.
  • Published several articles and booklets on Credit Management topics.
  • At Bucher Financial, Charlie is a senior advisor for credit risk and collections management activities.

  



Sharon A. Hostetter

Sharon came to Bucher Financial Group after spending 11 years in the banking industry.

Experience:
  • From 1993 to 2004 Sharon assisted executive management and the Board of Directors of a major regional bank. This position required professionalism, strong attention to detail, excellent customer service and communication skills. From 1979 to 1993 Sharon was employed at a large local manufacturer in various positions, concluding with 3 years as Senior Credit Analyst in the Credit Department.
  • Sharon has an Associate Degree from Wilson College and is currently working towards a Bachelor degree in Business Management.
  • At Bucher Financial, Sharon processes credit applications submitted by the clients Bucher Financial Group serves.  She also manages a variety of assigned clients accounts receivable portfolios communicating directly with the clients and their customers. 

  

Carl T. Marston III

Carl (CT) came to Bucher Financial Group after spending over 20 years at a large telecommunications company.

Experience:
  • CT last served as Senior Financial Analyst where he headed several key projects involving tax management issues. CT also has an extensive cost accounting background where he designed an overhead matrix for more accurate distribution of expenses. At Bucher Financial Group, CT is involved in special projects providing accounting and operations guidance to clients.
  • CT works with clients that need help with setting up and maintaining accurate accounting records, cash flow management and overall office administrative support.

  

Thomas W. Miller

Tom came to Bucher Financial Group after spending over 35 years at a large telephone company.

Experience:
  • Tom served as a Supervising Accountant - General Accounts where his main responsibility was to maintain corporate general ledgers.
  • Other positions held were Supervising Accountant, EDP Planning, General Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, Purchasing Manager, Manager - Inventory Control and Manager - Payroll, Labor.
  • Tom also spent 6 years at a federal credit union.
  • At Bucher Financial, Tom works with a variety of client portfolios in the area of collections.  He also provides IT support for the numerous software applications Bucher Financial utilizes.

 


 

 

 

 

 

Jennifer J. Wagaman

Jenni came to Bucher Financial Group after working in the medical field for 11 years.

Experience:
  • Medical Secretary where she assisted with accounts payable and receivable. Her position required excellent customer service, strong communications and organizational skills. Jenni currently manages numerous clients accounts receivable portfolios and is involved in the credit application process for Bucher Financial Group.
  • Jenni has an Associate Degree in Specialized Business from Central Penn Business School.
  • At Bucher Financial, Jenni processes credit applications submitted by the clients Bucher Financial Group serves.  She also manages a variety of assigned clients accounts receivable portfolios communicating directly with the clients and their customers. 

 


 

Kelly J. Bowersox

Kelly came to Bucher Financial Group with 20 years of experience in customer service and back office management.

Experience:

  • She has served as a service coordinator and sales associate and managed accounts payable, accounts receivables and payroll processing.
  • Kelly has an extensive background working in and with small to mid size companies.
  • At Bucher Financial, Kelly currently works with client accounts receivable portfolios, credit risk reviews and is involved in the credit application processing for clients.

 


 

Rob K. Weaver

Rob came to Bucher Financial Group with 20 years of experience in the areas of Accounting, Customer Service Management, Credit & Collections Management and Process Improvement.

Experience:

  • From 1995 to 2009 Rob was employed at a large equipment company located in Pennsylvania. Rob served as Collections manager with responsibility for over 4,000 accounts. As Warranty Manager, he led a team of warranty analysts responsible for company-wide warranty administration. Rob earned a certification as a 6 Sigma Black Belt and has worked with company leadership on strategic planning and continuous process improvement initiatives. Prior to 1995 he was employed by a large tire manufacturer where his positions included Credit Analyst, Accountant and Assistant Credit and Finance Manager. Rob brings analytical and problem solving skills to Bucher Financial Group.
  • At Bucher Financial, Rob works on special projects with the other staff members.
 

David S. Nesbitt, Jr.

Dave recently joined Bucher Financial Group offering his expertise to the greater Baltimore Metropolitan area.

Experience: 

  • Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for a leading regional asphalt production and construction contractor for over 30 years. Director for a major heavy equipment dealer in the Maryland and Delaware markets. Experience includes managing accounting departments, budgeting, credit and collection, cost accounting, estimating, project management design and administration of employee benefits.

  • At Bucher Financial Group, Dave is a senior advisor for operations, financial credit and accounts receivable activities.
